In-Situ Technieken is a specialist in carrying out in situ remediation projects and has completed more than 50 remediations on different sites in different countries.
Many years of experience in the use of strong oxidising agents forms the basis of our safety awareness. This governs all our activities, from the design of our mobile plants to the design of the remediation processes and their implementation on site.
The ISCO plants of In-Situ Technieken are designed to inject oxidising agents or other chemicals into the soil in a safe manner. To ensure this, a Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP analysis) has been performed for every plant, in which all possible failure scenarios have been subjected to a risk analysis. We regard our installations as chemical plants, with the corresponding safety measures and regulations. An important consequence of this vision is, for instance, that injection of oxidising agents is permitted only if two experienced process operators are present. This is one of the measures through which safety can be guaranteed.
At In-Situ Technieken, safety-based thinking and acting is anchored in the entire process, from design to implementation. In-Situ Technieken is familiar with techniques such as Last Minute Risk Assessment (LMRA) and the Loss Prevention System (LPS).
